33\'s with 2 1/2\" suspension lift on cj-5

I know this question has been asked about 1000 times. But will 33x12's fit with only 2 and a half inches. I know they will fit, but i want to know if they really fit good. I would atleast like to have about 1 1/2 to 2"s left in the wells. I would like to know how bad they will rub in extreme conditions with this much lift. Also what size backspacing should I run so i wont rub the leafs at full lock. Also anyone with pics for me to see would be great. TIA

2.5 inches will work just fine for 33's. My buddy recently bought a CJ7 that had 33x12.50s with no lift they were pretty tight. But he made some longer shackles about an inch and a half over stock and they work great and only rub in the tighest situations.

I've just recently bought my CJ and it's got 33's on it. Rubs a little but only in reverse, downhill with the wheels turned all the way to the left. I'm not sure, but I don't think the CJ has any lift at all (If it does it's worn out by now I'm sure).
