31\'s rub on front springs?

So do 31's (10.5) rub on springs with a SPOA and 3 1/2 BS rims?

depends on what tire you go with.

a non-agressive tire probly not but something like a swamper probly will.

Either 2" bs wheels are wheel spacers will be in your future .

I would say yes...

It's not about the width, it is about how tall the tire is and the BS.

I'm running 31x10.50 mud terrain tires on 8" rims with 4" backspacing. My tires rubbed the springs. I'm not sure that 3 1/2" backspacing is enough. It would be close depending on the tire.

I ended up buying wheelspacers and the tires don't rub now!

With 3 3/4" bs (7" rim)and 31X10.50 hi-tec recaps (muds) and spoa
they did not rub on the springs. (I did pound in the seams on the body.) this is with stock springs. and that was twisted up.
It really depends on the tires. I know boggers will rub untill
you go 2" BS.

when I went to 33's and rear srings up front with CJ's in the back and M/L I went right to 2" bs(8" rim). no problems there,
other than some body rub that bump stops took care of.

My 31x12.5 on 10 inch wheels with 2" backspacing never have rubbed

My new 31x ""13.5"!!! swampers on 2.5/2.0" backspacing still rub up front. I have yet to REALLY measure the backspacing, but they really stick out there for a 10" wide rim.

I do not have problems in the rear.
