Have Any of you flex Mongers out there (like me) considered doing a 3/4 front?? I've seen lots of people do it to the back, and a few do it to the front too after a shackle reversal (MORE kit), but how about with out the Shackle reversal?? Possibly weld some steel to the frame to prevent lateral defflection on the road, and maybe a pin to completely hold the "extra" 1/4 spring in place. Just a thought or two

well.. i would consider that to safe.. but hey who knows... you would have to pin it real good.. but that shackle in the front isnt one of amc's better idea's.. that mess's with your handling enough.. without adding to it.. i would do a shackle reverseal and that if any... and i also wouldnt do it.. might mess with your steering also.. you have to keep that in mind..

yep.. its the jeepgod..

Personally I don't like the idea of a 3/4 eliptic front. If you use a shackle reversal them it throws your pinion way down under droop. Worse yet if you leave the shackle up front and approach a rock with a tire at full droop sadi rock could grab Mr. Buggyleaf and fold it in half as you climb up. Just a thought, but I did it to the rear of my old Toyota and loved it. Happy Jeepin'

If you're after my 2 cents you better have change for a nickel/wwwthreads_images/icons/smile.gif

Thanks for the responses... THat was something i hadn't thought about Travis, doesn't sound like fun to me. I'm gonna do the rear, and was gonna do the front to, for the extra 1" of lift, i guess i'll have to do shackles instead, UGH!! Maybe A full length AAL. we'll see, thanks again

Ditto. I think you'd peel those puppies right off of the frame.
