Another thing on the double batteries, Would I need a new Alternator as well? Would a Mean Grean be any good, Anybody has used that one? What other options are available?

Thanks!

/wwwthreads_images/icons/tongue.gif Here is the take on alternators: If it is a matter of replacing the current rapidly so you can do some more winching.....yes. If you winch or use up battery power then DRIVE HOME for two hours, then no. /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

Thanks, CJDave,..

So no immediate need, but need one really! It's really one thing after the other! This is the problem when you get in to this Jeeping thing. You start with a little upgrade (drivng lights) and up with upgrade worth another car, You are right it is a Jeep thing and sometimes I don't understand it my self /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif /wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif

/wwwthreads_images/icons/wink.gif Ditto, ditto, ditto. Over a year ago we started out to do some minor upgrades and repairs to the CJ7. We have since bought it all over again with upgrades, and mods. We bought this Jeep because Jeepchick had always wanted a Jeepie Jeep (we have a '97 Grand Cherokee) and I knew we had to make mods in order to drive on steep, twisty mountian roads in the snow. So......we are STILL making changes!/wwwthreads_images/icons/crazy.gif
