hey please help. need some feedback. i put a 272 grind cam into 1.3 head and valve springs compress nearly solid is this normal or not. put larger exh valves in too. the valve itelf is bigger not the length of stem. would a 260 be better. oh, this cam was made from a new stock cam. could it have been done wrong?

thanks so much if you can help

Jonathon, how does your 270 perform?
RRO site says it's a top end cam for power hawgs.
I am just interested to know how it goes both on road and off.
TIA

Sounds nice, but does it work alright off road, I mean is it prone to stalling as against a torquer cam?
I realise that a 1300 does not have any real torque anyway, but is it better to have a good revver as opposed to a plonker?
TIA

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same cam . The Isky I use is the 330 series with dual springs . I've used a 1.3 adjustable cam sprocket with it and have it dialed back a few degrees to bring the torque up . You do have to keep the revs up a bit , but the power is definitely higher than the torque series cams . I'm not real fond of Isky's torquer cam , not really enough lift for that duration . One thing about the 330 series , you'll never run out of high-end revs....
