ok this is jays random thought so bear with me ... brent at trail tough sells that custom 27 spline arb for his "big rear end" zuk rear right .. It uses a 9" like axle shaft well i was thinking.
the drag race world uses c-clip eliminaters for gm's usesing 9" axles. Could someone make a bolt on end so we could use " bearing and the 27 spline on a stock axlehousing end??????
my other thought was could there be a adapter for a dana 44 spindle from a f150 so you could make a hevy duty full float??? imagine the shaft you could use!!!
while on that topic front axles like the "big suzana" and the spidertrax one why adapte the stock zuk stuff?? cant we just put the ford or cj spindels on and get biggerbrakes and lager hubs??
am I the only one thinking this ???

The thing to do would be to take a ford 8" housing and gears, (a 9" is just too big and heavy IMHO and
looses you ground clearance), cut off the ends, make provision for a seal inside, weld on flanges to take
the zuk front Spindle and bushing.

Then you can use the front hubs and lockers, full floating. Cut a couple of ford axles down. Spline them, and
turn or grind a seal surface on them. Now you have an axle that has near infinite gear ratios available,
traction devices also, and decent strength. you don't have to touch the front axle and you don't have
to change wheels.

The other option might be to take a disk brake Ford rear, and see if the truck axles could be swaped. Redrill the
rotors and you'd be done. Not full floating, but disc, and heavy duty, compared to a zuk.

rockrat, then you can sell a buch of weld on axle trusses to help keep the toothpick axle tubes from bending as easy.

I would call that defrauding my customers and friends. and placing false hope on a futile product.. I think stock axles have there place but in a 31" world. and I didnt read your post well enough I didnt see you had the larger rear, Yes that is a good starting point. THIS is just my opinion based on axles repairs on 33"

yeah .. cause the track kick rear c-section is very strong and since i have the stronger housing my main question is how hard would it be to have the f150 pindles adapted so i could have a strong full float .. how much maichine work are we talking? I know what the axle shafts entail

the other topic no one is touch in the front .... i was takingabout that one that uses the track kick rear c-cection and 44 knuckles .. why are they useing zuk brakes and hubs .. humm i guess it looks beter when its drawn out and shown face to face

I have word from one vendor that they are finishing up a full spool (read not "mini") for the Zook 7.5" pig that will run custom 31-spline moly shafts (that's Ford 9" btw), with the option of gun-drilling to lighten them up (lightweight is everything).

Bullet-proof.

Tubes can bend. Stockers bend, but so can fancy hybrids, including the ones with custom centers. All depends what you throw at it. Give it to Sean D. If anyone can bend an Anvil (pun intended), he can. I hear if he gets anymore airtime, the FAA will require him to get a pilots license.

Stock housing, when trussed properly, can be made stronger. Their advantage is high clearance, more than any other standard 4x4 axle. Addind a larger axle (say Toy or D44) requires adding inches more in tires to accomplish the same ground clearance. This in turn taxes the larger axles, and a vicious cycle begins.

And the biggest problem is that friggin rear hinder. Always seems to grab a rock just right and get you hung up. And the only way to increase pumpkin clearance is 1) shaving 2) larger tires or 3) smaller pumpkin in the axles.

Or pick your lines more carefully.

Over 80% of modified Zooks will never exceed a standard 33" tire, with most reaching only a 31". All major Zook lifts are designed for the stock axles. Building a zook axle does make sense, to the majority of Zook owners.

And should make bu$ine$$ sense.

I'd imagine the reason behind this is that the Zuk brakes
are adequate in stopping power, more compact and MUCH
lighter than American iron, plus you don't have to change
the master cylinder.
