·Hi Folks,
I am rebuilding a 86 250R engine , the all too familiar left crankcase destroyed by chain story. I recieved the brand new case today and started looking at the manual when the thought occured to me, This looks tough! I am fairly confident in my mechanical abilities but a few tips would be greatly appreciated , like should I hone the cylinder and go with a .010 over piston?
( the engine has never siezed) Is there any specific snafus to avoid when seperating the cases? any good tips on getting the cases back together?
Anybody in or around Temecula, Ca. that wants to help me?
I am trying to make it to Glamis by next weekend , Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.
