As everyone knows, the stock tire for the 1984 Nissan 4x4 is a 215 75R15. I am considering putting Goodyear Wrangler 235's on my stock Nissan. I've asked lot of buddies for opinions and the consensus seems to be that the odometer will be 2-5% slower and the speed will bog down a few mph at identical RPMs.

My '84 has "only" 172,000 miles on it and I can get 22 mpg driving on flat (no wind) roads between 63-65 mph at about 2600-2700 RPM. My back country road mpg is 18.

I've searched this Forum and can't seem to find any discussion of the 235's on a 720. What are your thoughts about putting these ties on a 720?

Thank You!!! JP in Idaho Falls.

Should get near stock odometer/ acceleration etc with 235 70 r15. Better flotation in soft terrain. You will sacrifice a little economy/ acceleration with 75 series, but not too bad.
