first off can I run without my shocks on I just want to see how well she flexs and don't want to hurt anything before I try it with out the shocks. and 2 I'm running 33's with no gear change, my speedo says I'm going 60 how fast am I really going. I pass up cars left and right but I don't know how that could be happening with a 1.3 pushing 33's

I must be I doesn't sound right to me, I know that I haven't put in a new gear or anything, all I've done is k&N filter charger, thorley header, that little vent thing for the carb, I had a 2 inch exhaust that I took off so now all she has is a Cat, with no mufflers and a new clutch which I don't think would make her anyfaster. this does,'t add up does it!!

If your shocks are limiting your suspension, something is wrong. I wouldn't drive without your shocks. But once you get to your testing ground, its okay to undo one end while you flex it up.

If your shocks are limiting you though, sounds like you need a better mounting system.

Word of caution though, not sure what lift you have on your vehicle, but there is one kit on the market that actually short shocks' the suspension. They unfortunately chose to use the shocks as a sort of limiting strap since early on this kit was snapping front too short front stainless steel brake lines. The proper fix would have been of course to lengthen brake lines, but... oh well. Just be careful when you do pull the shocks if you have one of these suspensions.

Yeah there has to be something wrong, I have 33's, 4.16 stock r/p's and cam and header and weber and big exhaust, but getting the speedo to do 60 is work for fourth gear. I went to 31's and its a lot better on the engine and speedo. I dont know how fast your going, but you have to be hauling a$$. Are you sure your not reduced somewhere in the drive line?? Max
