2" body lift install

2\" body lift install

I have a 2" body lift on the way and i was wondering if anyone has any pointers that will make installation easier.
Also if anyone has a drawings of bumper brackets to share it would be greatly appreciated.

Watch the fuel filler hose, you might have to get a longer one, just depends on application. The fan shroud and oil filter relocation are the only things that do cause problems. As for the lifting, we found that doing the front then rear seems to work better, if it's a two door. Otherwise lift at the same time or left then right. Have fun and giv'er hell.

The relocation of the oil filter depends on the type of engine, a 4.3L with a 2" body lift you might have lower the filter down but I doubt it, if it was a 3" lift then yes definitely, but it all depends on your engine compartment set up.
For a 2.8 Liter engine the fuel filter is screwed to the engine and not mounted on the side so you should not have to mess with it.
no matter what you will need to trim the fan shoud, unless you decide to put in a electric fan.

Well im goin to be doin my install this coming weekend. tomorrow im gunna start squirting the body bolts with pb blaster hoping that they will loosen up a bit.
