I’m getting ready to purchase a 1998 gmc 1500 z71. Does anyone have experience towing with these trucks? I have a small sawmill and I grab logs in my 10’ dump trailer. Normally, I tow about 5-6000 pounds( logs plus trailer weight). I’m just curious how they perform. Thanks in advance

if you’re looking for towing I’d you can get the 5.7L Vortec small block it’s amazing for towing if it has that you shouldn’t have a problem I have a 98 Chevrolet K1500 with Z71 and hauled construction equipment with it and never had an issue so im sure you’ll be alright. Hope this helps
