I have a 1998 Cherokee 4.0l Limited, currently running a Borla Header (part no. 17039) which is listed by Borla as fitting years 93-97.

My question is whether the Borla Cat Back System (part no. 14453) will fit my Cherokee. It is listed by Borla for Cherokee's 93-96 and when I phoned their technical department, they hadn't tested a Mk2 'facelift' Cherokee so couldn't tell me if it would fit or not.

Has anyone any experience of fitting this Cat Back system to a facelift Cherokee? If so - how was it, any problems? Do I need to get my hammer and grinder out, or will it bolt straight in?

As always - any advice gratefully received.

I have 98. Neighbor has a '96. I don't see much in the way of differences between the two OEM systems from the cat back. About the Borla, I can't say. If it uses the OEM mounting points it should be good.
Buy it- try it. If it fits keep it. If it doesn't send it back.

I do believe the only difference is location of sensors, go get under yours and see if theres any sensors behind your cat and if there is then on the new exhaust system you will just have to drill a hole for that sensor and weld it in
