Ok I am limiting myself to 150 bucks right now. What are the cheepest performance mods I should get?

best first mod in my opinionis exhaust. you could chope and replace muffler with aftermarket easily for that price. wouldnt be a ehole system, but you'd have soemthing that "sounds" better....perhaps residual side effects that are beneficial. like JPP said, just put it i nth bank

go have your tranny power flushed (or flush it yourself) and/or do some upgrades on it, such as an external filter and big ol external cooler. a mild shift kit probably wouldnt hurt either. it will save you money down the line.

Tune up. yes, plugs and wires cap and rotor can eat up nearly all of that. You can go through your fluids and change them all to synthetic. Go for a drop in K&N filter. Add some driving lights with the appropriate wiring and relays. Upgrade your headlights/wiring for simultaneous hi/lo high beams. Add a CB radio. Tint your windows. Add some step bars. Add a rear sway bar. replace shocks. Change to braided steel brake lines. Add a fancy grille insert. Add a nice big tranny cooler.

I can think of plenty.

buy an aluminum tool box. back up flood lights. buy a set of gauges and a pillar mount. Buy one of those cool PML cast tranny pans. Install one of those B&M shift improvers.

Oh the fun.

Yeah a toolbox would be nice.. if I had a pickup =) I dont need driving lights those just add drag hehe. I have one of those Hi/Lo deals already, and running boards, and tinted windows, could get a CB for free from my Uncle who is a farmer, Grill inserts for GMC's look like [censored], and the Suburban has a rear sway bar already so no need for that unless I upgrade them. I probably am going to mess with the tranny a bit, along with my little custom cold air intake thing. I will decide what else I want later. Keep the good idea's coming though!

And yet another good idea from tjayandlisa lol. Yeah I was thinking of taking a road trip down to florida or cali or something like that. We'll see what is goin on next week and the week after and maybe that will come true!

hmmmm.......6.50 lap dances......if you factor in the price of gas it might be cheaper to drive and visit you crazy canadians
Image
....well, that depends on how much they charge for a beer there. mmmmmmm.....Canadian beer.......

I vote for the strip club

I did get some vent visors and a bug delfector for 130 together outa styling concepts(get in the channel vent shades if you get them....stick on ones are chessy) and some stainless steel stick on scuff plates for the rockers(you cant see em with the door closed but keep you from scratching paint with your feet) A new muffler installed would be cool too as long as its not flowmaster

(I have an extreem hatred for few things in life, flowmasters and tomatoes are about it

ratlover? whats your beef with flowmasters? I have them and i like them, but i am by no means partial to them. just wondering why it is you dont care for them.

I dont like flowmaster because it has kinda become the poser exhaust (no offense to you guys)
the first thing people do to their trucks these days is go get a !bling! !bling! flowmaster dual exhaust system put on with two slash cut tips straight out the back, too common for me, I like dynomax, magnaflow, edelbrock, or [censored], thrush turbo mufflers work. thats just my view of it...

Yeah, it seems like everyone goes out and gets there K&N coughcrapcough and there cat back exhaust, then they claim the usual 50 extra horsepower...

I bought a flowmaster because I was having a real problem finding a dual 3" inlet, single 3.5" outlet, plus there alluminized and I have never had one rust away.

A couple of reasons......every body puts em on.....I dont think I have yet to see a mustang with anything but

I also dont like the sound they can produce. Alot of times you get that wonderfull flowmaster resonance with the flowmaster sound.....sometimes not. Sometimes they dont sound bad though, I will admit.

Now to my big beef with them. They are one of the worse flowing performance mufflers out there. Ever notice how flowmaster dosnt publish flow numbers about thier product? Kinda makes you wonder why dont it? Now there are some deccent flowing flowmasters but those variety are really loud. Now they probably aint restrictive enough to make a difference in a stock 350 truck motor but still i dont like em.

I prefer dynomax or magna flow or spintec or straightline or Borala. I prefer the striaght through design but I cant argue with the flow #'s of a spintec

Actually I think my main beef with flowmaster is while God was resting on the seventh day the devil created tomatoes, flowmasters, Janet Reno and a few tree hugging hippy liberals

I went with the allied "mean streak" mufflers and like them. Also exiting out the rear doesn't seem nice if while you're trying to hitch a trailer.

So what's the story with the tomatoes? I have watched people eat them like apples with a salt shaker in one hand sprinkling between chomps. I refuse to eat them straight, but the fruit is a wonderful ingredient for pizza, spaghetti, etc... Perhaps a tragic tomatoe story?

well we all know that i am opposed to the duals out the back.....oh wait i have them. i did it for three reasons. i wanted a better flowing exhaust, i wanted soemthing i could hear. ( i tried toi start a ruinning engine a few times as i was used toi old beaters that were easily heard) and my truck was set up for duals. had a 2-1 muffler stock though. why i chose out the rear was becasue my last truck had it out the sides and i wanted soemthign different. if i had it to do all over again i would run it out the sides. i do prefer that, but i didnt know so i gave this way a shot.
