Hey now I'm not "that" old.:p I did lurk here for a few years before joining. It was a lot different then, but so was ALL of the internet for that matter.

Maybe I am that old.......................LOL.................

I was online with a C64 and a 4800b modem that was $$$$$ for even a short amount of online time and even less info at that speed. (but it was sooooooo much better than the prior TRS80:blush:)

I've been around a long time - a few software versions ago anyway. Haven't been around much lately - working on my Model A hotrod, spending a lot of time on the HAMB, traditional hotrod site, and building my flathead Ford V8. :D

Gotta get the YJ ready soon though - 2 Jeep trips coming up, Sept. and Oct. :)

Getting old sucks, but it is still better than the alternative.
As I sit here trying to nurse my aching back, you have reminded me how old I'm getting.
I guess my back deserves to complain, over 16 years humped over in a Kentucky coal mine and then 15 plus years wearing a lead apron, and then there was the dirt bike and Jeeps...

I *think* I joined back in 96 or 97, I got the Jeep in 94. The 1999 software change removed the old posts, I don't remember if there they were put somewhere, I bet Taz knows.

Been 10 or a slight more for me, had the same name and disposition back then as I do now. I remember sending IN2DEEP his ford wiring harness manual when he did the 5.0 install, I also remember TR and having indepth conversations about shooting tennis balls on the river near his place with M-1 carbines. Soooooo Its been awhile for me, and I will say this is the best place to glean information when needed about anything mechanized.

10 years next month! Wow, it's been a long time. I too remember the days of the text only forum...no pic's, smileys, bad search function...come a long ways since then. I too am currently Jeepless, I miss my old CJ-7 and wheeling with you guys at the Badlands. I'll have a Jeep again, a TJ or maybee a lifted Cherokee someday soon. I've just been lurking lately and it's good to see some of the same old names from way back when I joined. Been busy doing the sportbike thing. Having fun on my RC-51, started doing trackdays on it and cornerworking for the local CCS races.

Want another copy, I made two, you made comments about how I had the harness labeled in with the jeep instruments, but thats okay, everyone here at my home says my problem is toooooo much thinking and remembering. Heck I've been trying to forget half of what I know from working electric all my life, times change people do too, I remember/see everything but don't say much, if you need another copy I got, not a problem.

Want another copy?
No thanks...... I actually still have the original copy in my stack of reference papers. Once I get my hands on some good information, it's hard to let go....

...... I can't believe it's been so long.... and the Jeep is still kicking... getting ready to go to the mountains over the Labor Day weekend.

This is some SERIOUS addiction we all have!!

Naw, I think Sept. 99 was just a software change. It shows my join date the same as members who were here long before me. Anyone know when this BBS started? Who were the first two? Was the question, "why does my valve cover leak?"

Can anyone field this question?
That's an interesting question. I went back to my ol' Juno Emails and read some of my old posts. The were dated about '95 when PJ ran the board and Part's Mike was a regular contributor. I've no idea what the first question was.

I didn't/don't have much use for PJ; he was most divisive. Part's Mike was/is a wonderful resource and a heck of a nice guy who was driven off the forum by PJ's childish attitude. At that time I took a hiatus from the forum and spent a lot of time on Part's Mike's forum. Most of the questions back then were CJ related, and trying to gain an understanding of that new fangled thing called Fuel Injection.
