37\" cut Boggers, Dana 44\'s and NO U-BOLTS!!!
Well the zuks been down since june with what started with just a simple Dana 44 swap but it turned into also a new paint scheme, cut fenders and re-built inner fender wells, cutting the boggers, changing out some lights, Hi-steer conversion, and the list goes on... Not to mention I moved from Memphis to Charlotte, NC to run the new 4 Wheel Parts Performance Center they just opened. I finally finished everything and got to make a test ride at Uwharrie last Sunday. With the exception of a couple minor problems it did awesome. For those of you who are not familiar with my rig I will give you a quick run down:
87 zuk with 1.3 GTi shortblock and Asian Auto Parts custom head, VW Solex 34 pic 3 carb; GRS-I t-case, front Dana 44 with 5.89 gears, ARB air locker and Warn axles with full cir-clips; rear Dana 44 with 5.89 gears, spool and Moser custom axles; Disc brakes all around, Hi-steer and power steering, 15 X 10 MRT beadlocks with 2" bs; 37" Boggers on the front with every other small lug cut off; 37" Boggers on the rear with every small lug cut off and about a ba-zillion other bells and whistles. If anyone is in the Charlotte area give me a buzz....I'm looking for places to ride and people to hang out with....
