Of Health, Accidents, and Vendors

Hello everyone. I haven't been on the board for several months as I have battled a health problem, there is a long way to go, but I'm back on the board for awhile. I wanted to tell everyone about a few positive things while I was off. I was recently rear ended and needed several parts. Brent at Trail Tough worked with me to get a combination of new and used parts that saved me $600 over the insurance estimate! Thanks Brent! I also bought some of the stainless bolts to make door removal easier from North Coast Offroad. They work fantastic, but be sure to get the full kit if you want it to look decent. And lastly, I bought some quick disconnect straps from SATCHMO(on the board) and they are fantastic! I could lift the whole vehicle with them if I wanted. Oh, and a word of warning, I emailed someone with a classified listing on Asian Auto Parts (not AAP themselves, they have an "ad" section). I never got a reply from the person, except for a computer virus sent in their name. This is no faults of AAP, but just wanted to warn everyone, I'm sure this person had no control of the virus going out once he was infected.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out with parts and advice, and thanks to those who emailed asking where I had been! It's good to be back, I missed catching up with everyone.

Hey Riz! Don't know ya personally but I can sympathize with the health problems as I've been there myself. I bought a Zuk partly because it's easy to work on, I even work on mine some when I'm not feeling so hot...it's kinda therapeutic (though not as much as wheeling!) I've got Satchmo's straps on mine and they are great for the $$$. Glad you're back and hope you feel better. Happy Holidays
