Re: SLEEPER Samurai Project updated!

Sean,
Hmmmm..looks like some kind of "hidden"lift is in order. How about the CJ's in the rear with the rears up front(or rears and rears), BUT leaving it a SPUA. Little lift and better ride. Maybe tires on a 16" rim to trick the eye in seeing a slightly smaller tire/lift(overall).Or it might be as simple as bumpstops at the proper height. Just some weenie ideas.
Any ways ...so far so good!! Keep on posting!!!

BTW Kay totaled her car (Dodge Spirit) and we now have a nice check to spend on another sammi. I was thinking of a street ride like what your attempting, but with more of a prerunner look than a "Sneeky Pete" stock look, though that idea does seem appealing now.

A set of OME springs from Trail Tough might solve your clearance problem and still look relatively stock.

Re: SLEEPER Samurai Project updated!

Hey, Sean,
I just wanted to let you know a BIG THANKS for doing this project online
I am actually prettymuch following you with my rig as I am putting in the same engine in my rig
at this same time.......

it is like having a mechanic there while you are doing the swap, this is how I feel
because you have answered several questions and gave some suggestions that actually saved me from
screwing up some things I was just about to do and had no idea how I was going to do it.

thanks

SLEEPER Samurai Project updated! Installation Pic's of the Custom Samurai/Sidekick IN-TANK fuel pump setup.

Guys, thanks for the ideas. The springs will either get re-arched or maybe a set of flattened rear springs will be installed in the front...we'll see.

Whazoo, let me know if you want another Zuk. I have a nice metallic blue 88 1/2 with a SPOA on 31X10.50 BFG A/T's...I just need to get a motor dropped into it.....HMMM..what motor would fit nicely in there????

Rich, I am glad to see that some of you are enjoying watching the build up. I really wanted the customer to see the pic's then the idea "blossomed" into a day-by-day online Samurai build up. I just thought I'd be innovative. Just e-mail me if you have any Q's...or keep reading the updates on the site.

Re: SLEEPER Samurai Project updated!

I think the fact that you are making the effort to share the whole installation with the list is just incredible. And, on top of it you write in a very readable style.

Thanks,
