It seems to me that Optima battery has a internet site that will tell you the correct size and type based on application usage. Sorry, I don't have their site address. If interested you will have to do a search unless anyone else has that information

Re: Optima Battery for 1988 Zuk??

Ya know.... afte rhaving bought and owned several Optimas thru the years, I'm not running them anymore. I really don't feel they offered any better performance for my Zuks than a good 8-900 CCA battery from the auto parts stores. Plus, the auto parts store batteries are about 1/2 as much.

I'm not saying I had bad experiences with them.... but I will say that if you drain one (leave the lights on, etc), it becomes worse at holding charges than conventional fluid style batteries. I'm just saying that after toying with them and standard batteries, I never noticed anything particularly outstanding about them.

I don't have any Optimas on my 3 Zuks or Jeep anymore. They're just standard high output batteries and have been doing great. Money has been better spent on other things for the vehicles.

I too, say, "poo poo" on Optima. They have a sister company that split from them a ways back and makes a superior product anyway (in my opinion). - Black Panthers - same spill proof concept, same amperage offerings, and half the weight. In fact, if you believe "light = might", they have a 500 cca battery that weighs 10 lbs.
For the record, I too, have given up on all of this high tech battery hype. Costco had a 550 cca for 40 bucks that was 10 pounds lighter than what was stuffed in there when I bought this Sammi and I put the other hundred towards a new windshield (Motor home dingy; the little chips and specks all over the glass bugged me)

Calmini 5", 32" TSLs, daily driver, work in progress...
