I'm building a new rear bumper and was wondering about lights. Where do you guys get them? Tried truck stop and nothing they had there would ork. Also what do you need for lights? Is a stop/turn/brake OK or do you need the yellow turn? Thanks. Jim

Jim,
You gotta use a separate brake - turn - bu light, just as the stock system is set up if you're going to keep the same wiring. You can use a combo setup, like a jeep taillight, or trailer light, but you'll need an adapter. If you don't, you'll be blowing fuses. The brake/tail lights use a double element. Turn signals are on separate circuit.

Yep, like Scott said. You need three wires that go into the stop/tail/turn! I put flush mounts into my tail gate and didn't think about the turn sigs. The only thing that I could get to work was the stop/tail, I had to install a different set of tail lights so I would be legal for road use. I really don't like the look, but I'll fix it with a set of LED's Check this out...

I was starting to think about this today. I had reciently purchased an extra set of stock rear tail lights and was going to install them into the back hatch of my hard top. I realized that this is going to be more trouble than it is worth. I would like to find some flush mount lights to use like you have but I can't seem to find anything good.

FullTilt, I have some part numbers for some LED Flush mounts, but I'm over-seas and the part numbers are back in the states. If you can wait till about the 1st week in Dec. when I get back then I can e-mail you the part numbers. But, they are kinda expensive at around $120 for two lights. They look just like the red tail lights that I have now but they are LED's, much better.
If you don't want to go with the LED's then go the Tractor Supply Co. or Advance Auto Parts stores and look around for the fluch mounts, but they have to have the 3 wires not the two like I have for hooking up all three lights.

Those are nice lights, I wish they listed the prices.
