Fuel pressure for carbs?

I'll be running a low pressure electric fuel pump to my Weber carbed 1.6 L and I was wondering what the psi should be set at from the regulator? I was told 1.5 psi should be OK but was wondering what you guys thought.
Thanks everyone!
Steve

Re: Fuel pressure for carbs?

I was just reading in the Chilton's the other night, that for carbs, it should be around 2 psi.

Re: Fuel pressure for carbs?

On my weber, on the 1.3, I use 3 to 3.5 lbs on the street, and 0.5 lbs on the trail. The lower trail pressure helps with moderate climbs. Still stalls when I go verticle......hmmmm
