How to???

Hey guys,

Re: How to???

Cut the 2 wires going to the switch on the clutch pedal, and connect them.

Re: How to???

I pulled the connector from the clutch pedal, then made a small wire with the proper ends to plug back in to the connector, so the electrical circuit would be complete. (instead of just splicing the wires together) - That way I can pull the wire, if need be, and have an anti-theft device, as it won't start without the complete circuit.

Re: How to???

Scott,

That is a great Idea...

you could even go so far as to mount it to a switch somewhere
so you don't have to reach down an pull the connection apart each time.

I am going to do that too.
Once I am done building my rig.

thanks

Re: How to???

Make sure you use a larger switch. I tried a 15 amp and it didn't work most of the time.
So I went to a 30 amp switch, it works every time. The best part is my 4 year old son
can't start it, he dosn't know about the switch :-)
I installed mine to the right of the dash dimmer switch, right next to the wheel.
In one of the pop out spots, my sami is an 88.5.
I don't reamber if my 87 had the same thing ?

Re: How to???

I was going to put mine under the dash. Hidden. I guess I will only use it when I go to the city. So location does not matter.

Re: How to???

put the switch IN the seat, then as long as you're sitting in it, it will start...just kidding...i have an 88.5 and i think i might put my switch in one of those "knock-out" positions on the left of dash....good ideas guys!!!

Re: How to???

Yeah a knock out would be better then if you have lights everyone would assume that it goes to some off road lites not to start it.

Drive fast and take chances.
