I had to notch my floor for my trans, but never had to modify my transfer, and I have a 3"

Don't bend it, cut and weld an extension into the bottom of the shift lever. Bending it will shorten it and cause other complications.

Re: Tcase shifter bend after body lift

For my 2" body lift I inverted the rubber boot so it didn't pull the T Case out of gear. It is a junk collector now, but still seals and the shifter works fine.
I also turned the metal plate that clamps the boot down until its narrowest side was at the front and put a notch in it. Saves chattering or jumping out of low.
Happened once, very embarrasing rocketing backwards down a very steep hill in neutral.
Alfie.
