For my 2" body lift I inverted the rubber boot so it didn't pull the T Case out of gear. It is a junk collector now, but still seals and the shifter works fine.
I also turned the metal plate that clamps the boot down until its narrowest side was at the front and put a notch in it. Saves chattering or jumping out of low.
Happened once, very embarrasing rocketing backwards down a very steep hill in neutral.
