2 Weber Questions

Two questions for the Weber experts on this BBS.
1. If the Weber side draft is such as good carb, why is there no single carb manifold set up available?
2. Does any dealer offer the Weber down draft carb with the antiflood modifications already done?

Thanks,

Re: 2 Weber Questions

The single sidedraft is a really good question. I think it would be good for our application. But, I believe they were developed for "high performance" applications, in which one throttle bore per cylinder was desirable. And they do work well, But I have also thought that one sidedraft would be adequate for fourwheeling. But maybe not....I am no Carb expert. And I do not know of anyone who sells the Webers already modified with the changed vent location. And I, personally, with my past modification experience, am not quite comfortable drilling a hole in a carb that is otherwise working well....with my luck, after I do the modification, it probably won't run well on the flats either!
Hope this helps
