Wheel Spacers?

I have a used set of 32 x 11.5 BFG's to mount on my newly lifted Sammy(SPOA+3" lift springs). I've read all the articles which recommend a 2 to 2.5" backspacing which means I'd need to buy a steel wheel. I'm thinkin I'd really rather buy a better looking aluminum wheel and use a wheel spacer to gain a bigger footprint and prevent rubbing.
Does anyone have any bad experiences with the spacers? Is Spidertrax the best?

Re: Wheel Spacers?

We run wheel spacers and custom backspaced wheels on our various Samurais. some folsk don't like the wheel spacers since it adds a separate element of potential failure into the mix, though we've never had any problems with them. We personally prefer custom wheels though.
