Re: Trac/Kick coil spacers

We don't have any pictures of our coil spring spacers, but they actually go on the bottom of the coil springs. They're really not that expensive compared to what it would take to fabricate your own.

Main thing is to make sure they're not of a steel material (aluminum, ect). They'll deflect in shape over time, start to make noise, likely gouge the sheet metal, and definetely scratch the paint.

A description of ours is at http://www.rockyroadoutfitters.com/kicksus.html

Re: Trac/Kick coil spacers

On the bottom? I can say that the spacers I got frem glenn worked great! With the stock springs, flip the front strut mounts and some longer rear shocks and you're in buisness. My Tracker wheeled better with just the 1" spacer lift than it does with the 2.5" procomp lift for sure, so much so that I will most likley go back to that setup. They were very easy to install and only needed to drill out the center some as they are really TJ spacers, I used a hole saw of the correct size to slide them over the bump stops.

Sorry Glenn if I let the cat outta the bag!

From your site: They fit on top of your current coil springs or lifted to increase your ride height without changing your ride comfort.

Re: Trac/Kick coil spacers

And you will get more like 1.5" up front with a 1" spacer.

Re: Trac/Kick coil spacers

My bad, you are correct. They go to the top of the coils.

I recently fiddled around with the coil setup on one of my Suzukis and the brain went right to what I did there. DOH!

Re: Trac/Kick coil spacers

The coil spacers you got from Glen, What did you pay for them? I cant pull up a price from his website. ALSO, do you get 4 spacers? Do you space both front and rear? What kind of shocks did you use? Have you added a body lift to your ride?
Thanx
Mark

Re: Trac/Kick coil spacers

I used el cheapo gas shocks from Sears, they are for a late model (88-93ish) Mustang GT, they bolt right in and are a couple inches longer seem to help out rear flex quite a bit.
