Re: Neet Stuff

That is very cool. However I thought that the 1600 tranny was weaker than the Samurai and has poorer gearing. I am not sure of this so correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Neet Stuff

Well I dont know but I would think the sidekick tranny to be stronger Im looking at one beside a toyota 5sp and there about the same size the clutch is way bigger than the sami and Im not sure but I counted first gear and it seems to be the same as a sami? But hey Im new to this so please let me know if Im wrong.

Re: Neet Stuff

Wait a minute. You've got a tracker auto tranny & transfer case, OK, I follow that. A GRS-1 Now what's that, and where could it possibly fit in? The tracker transfer case bolts on to the tracker tranny, right? So there's no way I can think of that you could put it between the tranny & transfer case, or am I all bass-ackwards on this?

Re: Neet Stuff

Your ass isnt backwards, but did you see the pics at the site? A grs-1 (or 2 for that matter) is the regular samuri transfer case that is divorced from the sammi tranny. The company in question makes an adapter that closes off the front out put shaft, and mates up the tracker tranny i believe its flush with the divorced transfer case of the samuri. Presto, stock drive shafts, and kick butt reduction. Hope that clears it up. If not ill try again.;
