Spring Wrap and Toyota Axles or what ??

I have installed my Toyota axles and something interesting happens.

While driving the transfer case lever shakes a little.
From a stop and during acceleration the lever shakes violently, is this due to spring wrap ?

Stock 87 Engine, stock springs with poly bushings,GRS, 4.375 axle ratio (toyota), TLC rims and tires
and samurai drive shafts in the front and rear.

Yes,the T-case shake is caused by axle wrap.I had this problem until I installed a traction bar.

Re: Spring Wrap and Toyota Axles or what ??

Take off the long arm on your t-case and look down the length of it. I am willing to bet money that it is twisted torsionally. These problems seem to crop up when making changes to the driveline. Mine was only twisted about 1/8 turn, and the t-case shifter shook violently, and it rumbled really bad in second gear.

Re: Spring Wrap and Toyota Axles or what ??

bad shakes = bad u-joints,bad engine mounts, bad tranny mounts, too extream driveline angles ,bent t-case arms ,out of fase drive shafts splines ,wraped springs.

i am sure that someone could come up with some other things that would give a sammy the shakes, but these are a good list to start checking from.just go down the list and knock 'em off till you find the problem.
hope this helps ... zukikid
