Re: My idea for sale...........hum

Close...but not exactly the same. I like yours better....the way the way the lower edges are ramped so they will slide over rocks. Intellectual property is hard to defend....if you want to get picky...you aren't the first person to put a skid plate under a vehicle...and not the first to have drivetrain mounts on the skidplate either.

As I said earlier, I like yours better for design.

Re: My idea for sale...........hum

Are you going to make them for sale? I like yours better too! Very good work. Everything on your Zuk, your roll cage, bumpers and all are very cool and are also very beefy for off-road use, not for some show vehicle. Again, Good job

Re: My idea for sale...........hum

Thanks Brain,
I am selling them right now. but the wait right now is a little long. I could not get the funding to mass produce them so I'm doing it all by hand.....Since I started, I got into a car accident and I'm down to one arm(temp). now My wife has me trying to buy a house! so I'm a busy one armed bee!
**On a side note the final bucket looks a tad different(better/cleaner) than the one in the pic. As soon as I finish 88.5's I'll post a new pic.

Re: My idea for sale...........hum

This is always a fun one to prove. I am currently working on 3 patents at work. You need to have art work that supports your story that you have been working on this idea for weeks/months/years/etc. and also have working knowledge of the design. In other words if I invented a new type of fuel but have no working experience or college degree to support my claim of being the person who invented this new fuel...and another person who is a chemical engineer phd and has been working in the field for a decade and has art work to show he has been working on this new fuel....when it comes time to bring the guy to court he is going to out shine me and win his case. See how it works.. this is very basic and only gives a simple view of this process. There is a heck of a lot more to it as well as the time taken to actually get in court and then see the case thru. We have special lawyers that do nothing but patents. We have to document everything is registered log books used for nothing but the patents we work on. Everything goes into that book..notes...artwork..doodles...etc.
Did this company go out and steal your idea? Do they know you? This is not a new concept just one being brought over from other 4x4 vehicles. They sale this product for other rigs. I see body and drive train armor being sold by some other companies and they state one being sold for the Sami. Your looks better and more beefy.

Re: My idea for sale...........hum

He is right you have to have documentation to back your claim. If you can't afford to go to the extents that mininpigg was speaking of. On your next Idea take all the information, drawings, receipts, paper work and what ever eles you have and make a copy. Put the oringinals in a letter and mail it to your self from the post office. When it comes in the mail don't open it! All your record now have been sealed and dated with post mark from the US goverment. I know this will act as a copyright and will hold in court.

Re: My idea for sale...........hum

Wow, that "mail it to yourself" is a clever idea. Imagine that - getting the US Government to be the official witness, without their even knowing it. VERY clever. I'll have to remember that one!
