Is it still a Samurai if I.......

I have done a terrible deed. I went out and bought a Subaru Brat. No motor with a clean title for 50.00. Back when I was in high school, many years gone buy. I had planned on take a Brat and putting a Toyota frame under. Well that fire still burns but now It will be a Samurai frame. No I am not tearing my Sami apart I love her to much I will be searching for a rolling chassis. It will still be a Samurai in Subaru clothing. Tell me what ya think.

Re: Is it still a Samurai if I.......

dude, it dont matter to me. if thats what you want to do, GO FOR IT!!!!! i think id check curb weight on a brat n compare it to a zuk. zuks only weigh in round a ton. yota running gears might be better. i say go for it man. i got a CHERRY 90 efi zuk, gonna pull body n slap a 42 willys MB body on it. just cause i can!!!!!!!!!!! well, wait, im a flat fender buff too. whoops, forgot that. best of both worlds, flat fender that will keep up with traffic every day.... whooo hoooooooo
just go for it man, your imagination is the limit. take tons of pics for me!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, would that make it a Braturai? Heck, why don't you put a 73 Gremlin body on that chassis (a Gremurai)? Or better yet, maybe a PACER (a PACURAI)? I'm not sure I like where this line of thought is taking me! Yikes!

You know I did get hit on the head two days ago by a 100lb housing unit. Maybe it did something to me.

Just don't go throwing away any good Sami parts...
Brats are pretty cool - and on a Suzuki frame . . . sounds cool!
Go for it!

Re: Is it still a Samurai if I.......

I'd like to graft a Meyer's Manx onto a Samurai frame. I'd leave it stock height and put some 29 Swampers on it.

AARRRRRRRG! 1987 Red JX 'vert, 4.5 BREEZE SPOA, SJ410 T-case, 31 BFG M/T knock offs, extended shackles (1.6 - 8V eventually) AARRRRRRRG!
