Relief Run at Paragon

Just like to pass on some info from Paragon Adventure Park in Hazelton, Pa

Relief Ride
October 7, 2001

In light of the recent tragedy, Paragon is very pleased to announce an one day trail ride on Sunday, October 7th for the exclusive benefit (to raise money) for those who have been directly affected by this terrible event.

On this day, Paragon Adventure Park will waive 100% of the admission fee. The minimum donation per truck will be $25. Please bring a check for at least that amount payable to the "World Trade Center Victims Relief Fund." We will collect them as admission and send them in on your behalf.

More information is on their sire:

Anyone going? Glenn? Max? Tim?

Just got the email too. Might just do it, but in the GV.

Hey, why aren't you coming to Zookin'?

Re: Relief Run at Paragon

Well Tim its like this. I was suppose to work that weekend, but I am out in Disability right now. I sprained my wrist and have a herniated disc in the lumbar section of my back. I am currently going for physical therapy 3 times a week and am restristed from the bouncing around in the zook. I am trying to do everything I can to get this thing worked out to avoid surgery and don't want to chance it. As much as I regret not being able to make it, I want to get better so I can Zook again soon. I will catch ya next time. Hopefully I will be feeling better by the 7th and might be able to run some of the easier trails.

Re: Relief Run at Paragon

I dont think i can go, i have prior obligations on that weekend, plus most likely my truck will be broke and not fixed. I am donating to a relief fund though because i do believe it will help. Both heidi and i have put together a care package and are sending it off on thursday.

Re: Relief Run at Paragon

Money is tight for me right now for the drive down,
We are planning on haveing a raffle/contribution jar at the
zookin run all proceeds to go to the Relief fund.
Tim and I are taking care of that.
On a personal note I hope your back is helped by the PT and you are well soon. I have had a herniated disk and 3 bulged
disks for the last 6 years. at times I can do absolutly nothing. But the rest of the time I push on as the more I do the better it is pain wise. good luck

Re: Relief Run at Paragon

Wow, sorry to hear about that. Get your R&R, the zook stuff can wait. No sense hurting yourself any more just to go wheeling. When you back on your feet, give me a jingle and we'll hook up and do some trails.

Re: Relief Run at Paragon

George - Yup, you're right. Sammy on long hauls is horrible. With the GV I can fly to Paragon, do some decent wheeling and still make it back without the white knuckles

Re: Relief Run at Paragon

Jeff,
Sounds like a good idea. Thanks for posting this info as I am forwarding this along to all of my friends... It sounds like a great idea. I think we all can use some "Relief " I'm definitely considering this one... Now, If only a few more zooks were to be going there........
