She wont start

This is the first time its ever let me down. Its a 1990 with fuel injection. It jus wont start. It cranks over fine but its not getting spark. It gets spark when you turn the key from off to run but it gets nuthin when you crank it over. Is it jus the coil or is it sumthin else. Please help its at a buddies farm and i need to get it home.

Thanks for any help.

Re: She wont start

check the fuse for the coil in the fuse box first... i dont know alot about fuel injected models, but i do know that my computer blew out and that definatly will keep you from going anywhere...

also, make sure its got gas in it...
and, as i unfortunatly found out, check for stuff like a kill switch... that will definatly keep it from running...

start with the basics and go from there... make sure you have 12 volts at the coil with the key on

ill try to think of some more things, but its late and im going to bed...

let us know if you find anything out

Re: She wont start

12 volts on coil must be a pulse for coil to output.

Test coil by tapping +12 on it's secondary input if get
spark on primary out then coil is OK.

Re: She wont start

If you have juice going in the coil, pull the coil wire and see if it's firing when turned over. If it is check your cap and rotor button.
