News from NYC
I'm home and safe (so far). Unfortunatetly, the same can't be said for thousands more. Both Trade Towers are down. Collaterial damage is unknown, but feared to be extensive.
I work in this are very often (not today, thank God), as I am a NYC Transit (Subways & Buses) environmental consultant. On any given day there is around 1/2+ million folks within the 5 block radius of the WTC. I'm shaking as I have many friends and collueges down there. Right now, we are unable to locate/reach two of our field technicians. I pray that they are okay.
I was in the Battery back in '87 when that last WTC bombing occured. Since that day, I've feared exactly what has happened today. I am seriously going to move my work location. No money in the world is worth living in fear and losing one's life.
My prayers go out to those victims at the WTC, Pentagon, Camp David and what ever areas are next. I pray that it is over, but I fear that it isn't.
