I brought one to the darkside

All it took was to get a friend of mine to go 4wheeling once in a Samurai. He had a blast! Well he called me yesterday and said he when out and picked up a Samurai. Lucky guy got it for 500.00. Good interior but has a couple of dents on the outside. He has the bug bad. I guess next weekend we do the SPOA. He is buying my wheels and I told him that he would find a set of Yota axles I would give him my Drive train. 5.43s, birfields rings, lockrites in each end. I am curious how long until he finds a set. It won't be long until he is on the trail with us. Stuart welcome to the darkside.

Re: I brought one to the darkside

I liken it more to showing someone the light...

See, I'm a real tight a$$. Ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you just how thrifty ((CHEAP)) I am. As a result of some crafty trading, and GOOD FRIENDS I've managed to build a nice Sami with a total out of pocket investment of less than $500.00 (Including vehicle). I'd be hardpressed to do this with a Jeep or other 4WD. D'you see the light?

Way to go! Yes Luke, the dark side is addictive, incessant, and downright EVIL!

He's also lucky to have a guiding "Black Jedi" to corrupt... I mean counsel him. And even lay parts in his hands to complete the transformation to creature of The Force!

Let's now bow our heads and chant a little ditty for the poor unfortunate soul........

Re: I brought one to the darkside

Hey man good job. I have to say that the popularity of the Samurai is growing quickly. I see them in the mags more and more every month. But is that a bad thing? With popularity we get better custom parts at a cheaper rate and with more availbity. But the Samurai is a exaustable reasorce. We are going to run out of them. So to me it seems that ten years from now after all has died down. All you hard core zukers out there well be back on the trail in a rare and very built rig.
