t-case clank

dear sirs - please help!!! i am afraid my tranny has gone.. it makes clanky noise and shakes with the shifter when in 2wd HIGH and 4wd HIGH ---NOT--- in 4wd LOW!!! can u imagine what could it be?? any suggestions?

Have you checked your u-joints? Checking them in the vehicle can be misleading. Take them out to check them...

Telltale signs of t-case arms bent up? Mine did the same thing. Check them out, especially the long one for twisting.

also at very slow speeds - like when accelerating from full stop in 1st... but it runs fine when in 4wd LOW.
