Grinding Noise

When ever i am in 4H or 4L, and i depress or release the clutch ( after the vehicle has warmed up) i hear a bad grinding ( i think its the t-case, but not the tranny cos i just had it fixed), the noise is usually in 3rd 4th and 5th gears. Also with the t-case in N, when i shift into these gears i hear crunch, crunch, crunch...., but i took it to the mechanic that fixed the tranny and he says it is not the GB. Anyone have an idea of whats wrong, also i don't think it is the front diff.
