The cheapest way to get it is to build your own. Obtain a 84-up SJ410 transfer case. Split apart the case and send the counter shaft along with a Samurai one to a vendor (RRO, Petroworks, Trail Tough, NCO) and have them weld it together for $100. Then simply use the SJ410 input gear and I believe the low range output gear. I have built one this way. I saved a couple of hundred bucks but the $450 price that the 4.16 kits are now going for is a really great deal.

1988.5 Zuk: OD Green Paint, ARB Bumper, OME Lift, 1.6 engine, ISKY DP Cam, Weber Carb, CF II Clutch, 4.16 Transfer, etc.
