looking for aftermarket front bumper

ok kids,i know this is not the place to post want ads.but this is the place that most of you guys on the page will see it.so please excuse my flagrant solicitation.

i am loking for a front after-market bumper that i will not have to trade a kidney for.
yes ,yes ,i know arn't we all...but if one of you all might want to help me out . i would be very thankful.
i would make one my self ...but i am still at the stage of teaching myself to make a weld that in not UGLY and for all perposses unsafe.
i am curantly trying to find a welder to aprentice under so that i might persue this as a career, but that is beside the point.
thank you for your time.

Re: looking for aftermarket front bumper

Rocky road has some bare bone bumpers for $40 and $50 for the front and rear. I have no idea what comes with them, condition, what you have to do, welds, bolts, holes, this and that.... Seems you could custom fab something if you have a welder, torch, and maybe a drill press. Something strong but light to work good with the zook..

Depending upon the amount you are willing to spend, the Wheeler's front bumper is very nice. I've got his winch bumper and it is extremely strong. Geoff Beasley also has one and has been trying to dent it without luck for over a year. The basic bumper runs about $270.

You can see some pics here.

Re: looking for aftermarket front bumper

Our front Crawler runs just over $200 and has alot of cool options you can add to it. Works with any suspension too. If you want to do some work yourself, you can pick up the laser cut shell of our bumper for $50.

Re: looking for aftermarket front bumper

Wheelers bumper is very good quality wise. He even got it to me before he promised.

Haven't dented it yet, even after rolling into a tree.

Re: looking for aftermarket front bumper

I think for the money, it is tough to beat the RRO front bumper. Putting options on it runs up the price.

Re: looking for aftermarket front bumper

hey zukikid, if it were me, id sit down, sketch out what you would like to have on the front end. if a prefab bumper/you finish deal is what you like, go for it, if not, draw up what you want, then head over to RR's and get him to assist you in doing it. bring pizza and *drinks*, he's offered already. just go to the scrap yard n find what you need to do it. IF rick dont have it already.....
