Flange Size - Years

Hi

What year(s) did Suzuki change the size of the transfer case output flange?

Also how about the number of rear brake lines to the diff ?

Re: Flange Size - Years

I've got the later model of suzuki: 1988.5, square vents, one rear brake line, and I've got the 12mm bolts on the drive shafts (I think this is the smaller flange, petworks asked this question for the spacers I no longer need..

Re: Flange Size - Years

I've got the later model '88.5 with 1 rear brake line and the 14mm bolt flanges. I thought that was the upgrade to the '88.5 model, being the bolt size - I could be wrong tho, not the first time.
Can the flanges be traded when installing new U-joints?

Re: Flange Size - Years

The change to the 14mm bolt pattern was made DURING the production of the late 1988 Zuks. Some square vent 88.5 models have 12mm, some have 14mm. My 88.5 tintop came with 12mm and my brother's 88.5 came with 14mm bolts. Mine was produced in 03/88 and his was produced a little later. All models before 88.5 had 12mm, all after 88.5 had 14mm.

The 88.5 models all had one brake line regardless of whether they had 12mm or 14mm flanges.
