Re: S/R is in!

<font color=blue> Part numbers for longer shocks were posted a long time ago, I think from RangerRick if I remember right. Try doing a search. Most of us run the Dtechs but I think there are some monroes and others that will fit.

Re: S/R is in!

Now that you got your S/R in be sure and put it at full droop and see what state tour driveshaft is in. There is a good chance it will drop out or is darn close. I used my high lift and jacked up the front. I have a 2" extended slip yoke and it still wasn't enough. My S/R was home fabbed your stuff might have already adressed these issues but it wouldn't hurt to test it before you hit the trails.

Re: S/R is in!

<font color=blue>I have heard that the 5000's are really stiff on a samurai. I would go with the Dtech 3000's instead.

Re: S/R is in!

just thougth I would put in my two cent....I run gabrial shocks on mine. they are for the rear of a late model GM 4x4 truck say 95 Chevy extended cab 4x4. they are almost 28"long at full ext. and have about 12.5" of travel. oh and they are cheap like $19 and some change at autozone...Lifetime warranty..

Re: S/R is in!

I run the S/R as well. I had some trouble locating the NAPA numbers - I think they are actually Monroe PNs. Worked with the guys at AutoZone and ended up going with some Red Ryders -- PN#s

410175 81340
and
410126 81147

They have plenty of length, LT warranty, and they aren't very expensive.

I'll be back.
