N.E. Fabfest reminder.

Just a quick post, If you are in the North east US and can get to Westhampton mass over the Laborday weekend we will be having out 2nd fab-fest of the year. It will be Sat and sunday, Time - 9-10 am till we get tired of messing with things. Sat will be most of the work with finish ups on sunday. Sunday the core group for Zookin 2k1 will be prerunning trails and you are welcome to attend.
Just run a mapquest to 15 south rd Westhampton ma.
If you want to bring any tools feel free I have most of
what we should need, (Welders etc..) Projects include
(But not limited to) Hybred diff building (Possible)
beefy t-case arms, beefy tierods, (This is for the advanced welders.. ) Engine maint, (Valve adjustments, water proofing, etc..) If you have something you want to install
bring it and I am sure you will have help.
There will be a BBQ avalible both days for cooking, I will have some dogs and burgers on-hand, or bring the food of
choice. Pot luck style. Any questions please post or email.

Re: N.E. Fabfest reminder.

Is anyone going to run the trails on Sunday? I was planning on stopping
out to Glenn's and then heading off the Old Florida on Sunday.

Re: N.E. Fabfest reminder.

Yes the plan was to pre run a few of the trails, The trail leaders can get together about this, and pick tail gunners/
back ups. Another place I am thinking of for the hardcore crowd needs to be prerun too. The end of Florida road is now just a mud pit, the Beavers are gone so it isn't a pond anymore. The go around at the end cannot be used either,
and when you go into the trail stay on the road as to loop to the left is private land and doesn't want us on it.
I ran it in the middle of the month, There are 2 spots where
a non-lifted trck just won't make it BTW.

Re: N.E. Fabfest reminder.

Glenn,

Do you mean the go around by the beaver pond near the power lines? Or the other
go around closer to the road on the same end?

Re: N.E. Fabfest reminder.

The one toward the power lines by the beaver pond. Strickly
verboten.. The local clubs have erected barriers to ensure no-one does. The problem is/was the road is a chap 90 road,
so we have the right to use it at our own risk, But it cuts through a state park, (Savoy state forest) and the go-around is on the park land. anything over 1000Lbs is prohibited from state forests. (One of the local rangers is/was trying to close the road becuase of this.) the others could care less She is a boston type liberal.. The towns have decieded
to ingnore her and DEM for now and keep it open.

Hey Glenn,

In your considered opinion, will there be anyone left around your place by around 11-12 on Sunday? I am driving up from Lime Rock Park (Lakeville CT, about 90 miles) to run over to your place hoping to join in on one of those preruns and/or get my Zuk "pre-inspected" since I am now registered for Zookin 2K1. After that I have to run back down to CT for dinner and to resume camping.

I would just hate to do all that driving and find there's nobody left at your place! Hoping to meet up with JEEPN, too, to grab that s/r.
