Zookin\' 2K1, who\'s going?

So who's going? I know more about the EMWF II (Eastern Maine Wheel Fest II) happening 2 weeks after Zookin' 2K1, and it's coming down to the wire.

Re: Zookin\' 2K1, who\'s going?

I'll be there, I'm supposed to run the stockers up Old Florida Rd.
Dosen't sound like we're going to have a big turnout so far!
I might have a few old "Suzuki" emblems I cold throw on a friend's
Land Cruiser to up the attendance!

Re: Zookin\' 2K1, who\'s going?

I think I'm busy that weekend.

Actually, Glenn, you're right on the money. Horrible last two weeks. Don't sleep much, afraid of every sound outside. Shannon and I bought a new Mossberg 835 12ga 3.5" magnum pump because it may very well need to be used. He's still lose (police can't find him) and from what I understand, wants to "straighten things out" with me.

On top of that, I got my cast off and have an MRI scheduled for tomorrow. They believe I tore ligaments and have a "seperated" bone. They are talking surgery and pins and things. Ugh, man, too much to handle lately.

ANYHOOT...

I have the list at home. It's on MS Works database. Let me know if you can open that. We have about 20 or so rigs (ranging from stock to built) and about 40+ people for the dinner. There are several more registrations still outstanding (several from last year's folks but I got most of them already). We should have a very full house. Quite impressive growth from last year.

Ah, the dinner. It's a full $17/head, regardless of age. Drinks are not provided. I'm going to send out an email tonite to everyone telling them the cost and where to send the check to pre-pay.

Now, was it Glenn or Randy that volunteered to organize the dinner/ZookCentral. I think it was Randy, and Glenn was the Trail Boss. Randy, you still up to this?

Ideally, I would like someone else to handle the checks and arranging the dinner payment. I've got a very full plate right now (zook + too much personal stuff). Believe it or not, the wheels are already turning for 'GON ZOOKIN' 2001. If we can more than double the size of Zookin', then we can make Paragon huge (and it can handle it)

But if no one offers, then "tag, I'm it." I'll get the email out tonite, and I will need everyone to send in dinner payment next week.

Re: Zookin\' 2K1, who\'s going?

As far as breaking up into stockers/whatever, I really think we should try to keep a mixed group while possible. It gives the new/stockers something to asprire to. Florida Rd BTW
only has a mud crossing at the end now, The beavers are gone and where there was 3-4' of water is now mud. there
are a few spots that will give a stocker big problems. Hope you have a winch Wayne.

Re: Zookin\' 2K1, who\'s going?

$17 each? Why that's 4 Corea Lobsters apiece! I don't think I can eat 4 lobsters, I know Glenn can, but not me. How about saving 1/2 price and just driving the rigs to Ponderosa? 40 people at $17 is also $680 total, which is also just shy of 4 Lockrights, gotta put things in perspective here. Heck, I only paid (thanks again to Max) $1,000 for the built Zuk, I did pay $700 for the Scrambler though.

(Just ribbing you here, got nothing better to do.)

No, I do not have Microsoft Works, I have Word and Excel, however.

Re: Zookin\' 2K1, who\'s going?

Just don't run the TTC in my backyard! Most of the other runs will have go-arounds and with carefull guidance from your helpfull trail guides you shouldn't have a problem.
remember we are here to help and make sure you have fun!

On that note the Tough truck this year will be a loop up back. We will still have an informal presentation. We hope to have an RTI ramp going at Zook cental too.

Tim I am not interested in getting involved in catering.
I am too busy at this point anyway.
