Awesome

Thats the only way to describe the swampers and the lockrite. I definately need to regear cuz even tho i have a 90 5th gear is of no use and take off power sucks. But thats a good thing cuz if i cant turn them over hard when i dump the clutch they cant grab real hard and break sumthin. Would using the tcase from the SJ410 help out the power a little. Ive already sold it to a buddy thats in boot camp but i dont think he will notice that i changed tcases on him.

The lockrite seems to make more noise than other lockers that ive had in the past but i think it will be ok.

Re: Awesome

What kind and size swamper did you get? Don't switch the t-case's, I'm sure I'd know if someone took mine!

Re: Awesome

29x8.50 tsl's. He's never driven it. He will prolly never work on it either. Ill end up buyin it back but right now i have to sell it and he was the first one with the cash.

So will a sj410 case help out in gettin back to a lower gear or not. If not i wont waste the time doin it.

Re: Awesome

I wouldn't swap either, just not right.

I would look into a GRS I or regear the axles. With my GRS I and those tires I drove it home at 70 mph, even passed people going uphill. With the 32's, I can't get into 5th until 70 mph, then I have no power. Time for the 5.38's. I'll swap them in this winter.

Re: Awesome

He doesnt care if i swap tcases for now. Ill swap him back if he ever gets it runnin. I can barely make the $232 a month payment on the tacoma (i still havent sold it) so there is no way im gonna be able to afford a grs 1 anytime in the next year.

So, will it help or not. Im not tryin to be pushy but im off tommorow and id like to swap it in then if it will help me any.

Re: Awesome

Yes it will correct for that size tire. My nephews rig is SPOA and 30" tires with a 410 t-case. Onroad its just about right. Off road it about like stock. (Lo range)

Re: Awesome

I thiunk the 410 will help. Depends on which model, I had one that was 3.05 Lo and 1.78 Hi. Was doing about 5250 rpm on rd with 31s. And Lo was good but not low enough so I sold it with intentions of getting a Grs. (Can't remember what my wife spent the money on now)
But anyway with 29s a 410 should be sweet on rd.
You'll be like me tho, wantmore.
