Couldn\'t believe it!!!

Today I went on a road trip to pick up axles for my car carrier I'm going to build. I'm the hiway doing about 70 MPH and sneaking up on a cluster of cars in the left hand lane. Finally the slow TURD moved out of the way and a few others pull to the right lane. What's left in front of me? a staock looking Zuk. so I figure the guys going to pull over and let me by right? NO WAY!
He planted it and got me to follow him up to about 90 MPH!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!!! I know my speedo is pretty good too cause I checked it with my GPS a while back. So how the hell is that POSSIBLE!!!! I can't/couldn't get ANY of the ones I've owned up above 70-75 (if I was lucky).
Anyway I'm still not over the shock........

I've got mine when it was stock up to about 80MPH! That was fun! Now she only does about 63MPH tops!

Re: Couldn\'t believe it!!!

Hey Danny,

On a good day, I'm doing 135k's easily...It takes time...but it gets there, and once its up there in the right Rpm range, it seems to be pretty happy...

They Say that everything is in the tuning...Especially for stockers and their carbs...

And I found that outside air does make a big difference for mine at least. If I'm running into 20 degrees and less, its excellent for my zuk's speed...

In the really hot summer days 25-35 degrees, I get 125 max thought...

Re: Couldn\'t believe it!!!

When I bought my first sami, I wanted to see how fast it would go in stock form. It did about 84......and burnt the driverside rear mudflap off in the process. All that was left was a 3 inch long piece of jagged plastic left.

LOL! I've burnt many of them! It seems when you get that speed up the mudflap will ride up and hit that exhaust...
