Lo range / Rollerskate ?

Hi Rollerskate, or anyone who knows stuff.
I read a post by Rollerskate and I thought he said that you don't have to change the Hi ratio when you lower the Lo ratio in the Transfer case.
Is this right ? and if it is how do I do it ?
Use half a crawler kit?
Don't want to change my road gearing but would like lower off road gearing, can't afford a Klune V ($7500.00 here)
Thanks for any input.
Alfie.

Re: Lo range / Rollerskate ?

What I meant was that someone manufacturing reduction gears for Samurai's could make a gearset that reduces only the low range.
The only gearsets available now feature a high range reduction of 10-16%. If you were to use one these you would either have to run
taller tires or change your ring and pinions to get back your road speed.
