Oh no, not the PO PO

I almost forgot to tell you guys this. I was going home after work yesterday and got clocked by the local police.(back woods Georgia Police) You will never believe how fast he got me at...

...75 MPH. Oops. I actully laughed at the cop. Follow me on this. I have 33" mud terains. No gears at all and a worn out, valve tappin, smoke blowing motor. I have had my city police buddy check my speedo for me and it was 5 Under(said I was going slower than I really was). Anyway after laughing at him he questioned why. I explained the situation. He let me go and mentioned getting his gun re calibrated. It was great. So I wonder if I was really going that fast. It is really cool to think that I might have been.

Re: Oh no, not the PO PO

That is toooo funny! Billtooley once commented to a cop who pulled him over: "I can't speed in anything other than a school zone". Hey, I can do a lot better than 75, provided you push me off a cliff before you clock me.

i got pulled over one night and he said i was doing 52 in a 40. he went back and ran everthing and came back with a ticket. i just shook my head and he asked what the deal was. i just told him that i never thought i could get a ticket for speeding in a zook. he said that i was comming off a hill and the wind was from the south. i said fair enough. later mike

Re: Oh no, not the PO PO

I had my '92 doing over 70 mph today on the way to work. Some punk kid in a Blazer with a 4.3 wanted to play games with me and my 66 horse zuk. I have been waiting for an excuse to swap the motor out anyway, so why not see what it is capable of first...right? Needless to say, I lost the race. But, I did get to see the speedo reach close to 75 on flat ground. By the way it is all stock except for 225 x 70 BFG AT tires.

JHS,
That happened to me once in WA. I was going home(I lived in Freeland at the time) I was going down that long hill towards Greenbank and he nabbed me! I did the same thing and laughed at him as well, I was bone stock Before my rebuild(read almost dead),31" with a SPOA....he let me off too!
