New Fenders ??

Autobodypartsonline.com has new fenders for approximately 95.00. This seems like a great price for a new fender but the drawing they show for the fender does not appear to come with the metal flair. Any one have experience with this company or an alternative source? Was hoping to get one with the flair already attached as mine is fubar. TIA.

Re: New Fenders ??

Scott, I think Dave @ Asian Auto Parts sells body panels, although I don't remember if they are new or used. They may be cheaper. I'll check his website (haven't been there in quite some time) and get back to you.

Re: New Fenders ??

Well I just checked Dave's site and I can't find anything there about body panels. I was pretty sure that he used to sell these. Sorry for misleading you Scott.

Re: New Fenders ??

Many of the larger local salvage yards carry new replacement parts. There is one near me in Brandywine Md. They list them New for $110. A little exspensive but being able to pick it up saves on the added shippping costs.
I'll bet there is a place somewere near you.

Re: New Fenders ??

Thanks anyways Guys, I appreciate the thought. I was aware that Dave had discontinued selling body parts. Seems strange that we never hear of folks getting new panels considering the rust and trail damage that we experience. Take care all.

Re: New Fenders ??

Hey Billy Bob, Sorry to hear about the impact. I really only need a passenger fender. Prior to Sunday's fiasco I had 3 Good drivers fenders and one good passenger fender. Now I have two good drivers fenders and no passenger fenders. How about I give you a call tomorrow after work??? Thanks

Re: New Fenders ??

We've been using TJ Wrangler flares on our Zuks. Gives the vehicle a cool new look and provides a larger opening with less intereference form the flares. Two sets of rears does the trick. They're also wider than stock Samurai. Very flexible too. Won't crack when layed against a rock or tree.

Scott- don't be a girl about it... body damage gives character, chicks dig it, oh and there is always a great conversation starter. I day rip off the other three and go flat side! that is how mine is.
