a pic of the Mystery Guy

Here is the link to the Mystery Guy picture.

http://members.home.net/nehsoft/mguy1.jpg

For those who were not in on this subject at the beginning, this indiviual appears in one of the tapes that I received for the Melt '01 video that I am editing. He was caught doing laps in a thirty-foot bowl. It was quite hilarious!

We have not been able to identify him.

Do you recognise him?

The picture was lifted from a second generation copy and is really loaded with artifacts -- most notably the scanlines. This is due to the fact that it is actually a field image, not a frame image (two fields make a frame, one represents the even scanlines, one represents the odd scanlines).

Enough with the TV mumbo-jumbo, name this driver!!!

Here's another hint:

While capturing this frame, I noticed that he was a registered Melt participant because he had a white sticker on his windshield.

Re: a pic of the Mystery Guy

Don't recognize him or the truck offhand -

He's got later-model stock wheels, looks like a bra-thingie on the hood, back seat, and nice safari top.

Re: a pic of the Mystery Guy

I think I have a name for this guy, but he has not come forward... Yet.

He was moving pretty fast. He made three laps before finally going over the top lip and flying off in one direction. He travelled 50-60 feet before he finally reined it in.

I think he was getting dizzy! I know I would!

Also note the rear seat and the safari top in the pic...

Sorry, no huge prize offered -- although that would have been a cool promotion if could have gotten this guy's name from the get-go instead of having to track him down like this...
