4-low problems (fixed)

Well, I just got back from a night trail ride with my 4x4 club and my 4-low quit working. It feels like the shifter goes into 4-low just fine but when i try to drive it just grinds and my zuki will not move at all. Any ideas before I tear into it tomorrow? Could it be the shifter seat or shifter "sheet" whetever you want to call it? Thanks

Re: 4-low problems

I would say it's either your shifter sheet or the transfer case mount arms are bent.

Re: 4-low problems

I am willing to bet it is t-case mounts. check the long one it is liable to be twisted up. You may have popped a
rubber mount too. Hard but not impossible to crunch the gears in these t-cases. (Thank god.)

Re: 4-low problems

Thanks for the replies, and taking the time to talk to me on the phone Grant. well, I got the t-case pulled out and now i'm jut waiting for a friend to get home so i can use his impact gun remove the yokes. It appears that one of the gears in the t-case for 4-low is stripped out, it slips real bad, and there are metal chunks in the oil. Dohhhh!!!
