stranger?...or a friend you haven\'t met yet

I guess you can consider me new here. I have been using this site for just about any and every question I can think or dream up. So I'm not really new, you just haven't heard from me yet. It seems like I just have to look around, and usually someone has already asked what I want to know, and usually there is tons of great information along with the question.
I have a '92 efi Sammy that I "obtained" through marriage. And, no, that is not the only reason I married her. She drove it everyday from the day her dad bought it for her new, and it now has around 170k on it and I drive it 70 miles everyday. The only problems I have ever had is the clutch (about 7K back) the alternator, and a strange starting problem that I haven'r figured out yet. Eventually it starts when it is good and ready and it gets me to work and back every day. It is still mostly stock due to lack of cash flow for mods, but it has a wish list a mile long for when I do get the spare change. I did put a pair of Porshe 944 seats in it which fit like a glove. Best mod I will probably ever do to it. The driver seat even has power adjustments. Also I cut the hinges for those hot Florida afternoons and for the trail.

Just a few of the mods on the way...
SPOA!!! and new springs
3.8 or 4.3 chevy motor (and tranny) depending on the numbers (horses vs. price)
Spitertrax full floater rear with discs
Homemade bumpers, nerf bars, roll cage, lightbar, rear deck cover
Wheels and Tires (probably 32"s)

Just dreaming out loud. Thanks for all the great info. I still have lots of questions, but I ask them later.

Wecome Ryan! The BBS is a great place and the folks here are the best. I had the good fortune to meet many face to face at the Melt, and they are even nicer, more generous, and helpful than they are here.
Without this BBS, I would be really lost. Time and time again, folks here have come to my rescue in many ways. It's a great place to be.........

dparker

...as a matter of fact, it does. Must be a common problem. Tell me more about the fix please.
