Compatable radiator

It is time to replace my stock radiator, it has had it's better days. Are there any radiators out there that I could fit in with minor modifications, that I could get from a junk yard or something? I have a friend scrapping out a ford ranger, and I thought I have heard of someone using a radiator out of one of those somewhere.

I know about the 3 core petroworks has but I don't want to spend that much on this and if I can get something cheap and make a bracket I can save the money for my T-case kit!

Re: Compatable radiator

I just replaced my radiator about a month ago.

I have a 88.5 Zuk but bought a new radiator for an 87 Zuk. The 87 rad is a little smaller but bolts right in. You'll have to find an 87 shroud though. I just modified(pita) my 88.5 shroud and made it fit.

Paid $79 delivered to my door in 2 days!

It's a 2 core with limited warranty.

Re: Compatable radiator

I just check their price and for the 87 rad, it is $118. How did you get a deal for $79? That's a great price!

Re: Compatable radiator

Most of these on-line radiator places have a "low price" guarantee. They will beat any competitor by 10%. So I found a different place selling the 87 rad for $89 and I e-mailed radiator.com and told them. They came back with $79. So I bought it!

I can't remember the other places I got a quote from. Just do a yahoo search for on-line radiators. There's a ton of them.

There is a huge difference between the 88.5+ and the 87- radiators. That's why I bought the 87. I probably saved over $50!

Re: Compatable radiator

A radiator out of a geo tracker fits pretty nice, I am currently using a radiator out of a late 60's bronco, it fits pretty good.
